Christmas mini session at the USNA
These Christmas mini sessions at USNA are surely going to be a thing in 2023. I was recently doing a Midshipman photography session with an amazing plebe when we came across the Zimmerman Bandstand all decorated for Christmas. I loved it so much that the idea for Christmas mini sessions at the USNA was born! So I reached out to a couple of MidMoms to gauge interest. The first one went well! You can see it here.
And then there was Mr. S here, on his last day as XO, with his kind disposition and awesome smile! He was willing to play and pose and he warmed my heart by telling me how this mini session was the best Christmas gift for his mama! That’s all parents ever want! Photos of their Mids!
With these three sessions done, it was plain to see. Midshipman Christmas mini sessions by me, Kelly Eskelsen photography, MUST be a thing in 2023 and I already cant wait.

Nothing is concrete, but here’s what I am thinking packages will look like next year.
- 20 minutes of photogrpahy
- 10 images, edited and delivered in an online, pasword-protected gallery
- Rapid delivery (within one week for those Christmas cards!)
