This USNA Plebe photos session was fun and easy on a crispy day in early December! It was perfect that the fall leaves stuck around so we could get this Mid’s mama some vivid autumn colors. But I was surprised and delighted to also get Christmas lights as well! Read this post to see the idea that was born from these lights! We also had a chance to take pictures at some of my favorite places on the yard!
Keep reading to see how this USNA Plebe felt about his photos and my answer when people ask me if Plebe year is too soon for photos!
As many do, this USNA plebe may have started his photo session out a little camera shy, but I got a few giggles out of him by the end. What a good giggle it was. He also told me it wasn’t awful and his mama told me he also agreed to photos during his senior or Firstie year. I can’t wait! Here are some of the Christmas Photos that inspired me to begin planning Christmas mini sessions for Midshipmen in 2023 even though it is not even Christmas 2022 yet!
It’s common for me to get asked if USNA plebe year is too early to start having photos taken. The answer is that it is the absolute perfect time! After all, would you skip newborn photos because they are too young? Kindergarten because it isn’t a numbered grade, or freshman year of high school because it is only the beginning? Absolutely not! The beginning is just as important as the end. And documenting your journey is so important! If you are interested in time-capsule packages, which follow your Midshipmen through thier journey at the academy, contact me, Kelly and I will give you information!
Kelly is a USNA Midshipman photography specialist in Annapolis, Maryland. She is also a Navy veteran, wife, and mom of 4. She talks way too much and loves to do anything outside! Find more out more about her on her website! Kelly Eskelsen Photography
